Why Status Plus

We have worked with many of our clients for decades, so we understand the importance of maintaining continuity as leadership changes. A Status Plus Executive Director provides a consistent point of partnership for the board, helping preserve institutional knowledge, maintain momentum, and ensure decisions are carried forward.
Our Approach
We serve as trusted advisors and collaborators, and prioritize taking the time to understand each association’s mission, governance structure, priorities, and goals. Working closely with the association’s board, we help turn decisions into clear plans and coordinate the work needed to put them into practice.
Our support is tailored to the association’s existing structure. We can work alongside an existing Executive Director or management team, provide dedicated management capacity, or contribute additional expertise for specific projects or periods of increased activity.
In doing this, we allow volunteer leaders to focus their time and expertise on the association’s mission, professional community, and the needs of their field.
What We Do

We prepare and coordinate Board and Executive Committee meetings, including agendas and supporting materials, and maintain clear records of decisions, responsibilities, and agreed actions to support timely follow-through.

We help define responsibilities across the Board, President, Executive Director, and committees, and review bylaws, committee structures, and decision-making processes to ensure governance arrangements remain clear and fit for purpose.

We support elections, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership transitions, as well as Board and committee evaluations and other initiatives to strengthen governance practices over time.

Our in-house finance team supports budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing Boards with the information they need to oversee the association’s finances and plan for long-term sustainability.

We help associations identify and develop relationships with relevant professional societies, partner organizations, and other stakeholders. We support Boards in identifying shared priorities, coordinating collaboration, and developing partnerships that align with the association’s objectives.
